The Inn

The Kasteelberg Country Inn

This typically Swartland homestead was built in 1911 and has served as the village’s police station and a bicycle shop in its time.  It is situated right next to the village square. With thick walls, high ceilings and original Oregon pine floors in some rooms, it was carefully restored in 2002 and named after the fortress-like mountain that stands guard over the Valley.  Kasteelberg Country Inn warmly captures the essence of a bygone era.

Throughout your visit, the atmosphere that you will experience is one of genuine homeliness.  With comfortable accommodation, a bistro with superb cuisine and fireplaces for chilly winter nights, a serene garden with a pool for hot summer days and welcoming service under personal management of Allan Barnard and Julien Debray.
